2013 Favorites, Happy New Year!

Above is a photo from when I was featured on Lauren Conrads website.

Above is a photo from when I was apart of a Hanes Hosiery Sweepstakes.

Above is one of my favorite photos, Michael took it moments before he asked me to marry him.

Happy New Year everyone.

Getaway: Outfit

Again, I love this house. I wish we could have stayed longer.

I am on this new hair kick. It is called, air drying. It may not look super fabulous but my hair has never been healthier. It desperately needed a break. Any tricks you know of to make your hair strong and healthy?

Blouse: Forever 21

Getaway: Antique-ing

When Michael and I went on our getaway weekend he planned the whole thing! I was so impressed. We knew we wanted to go antiquing and heard great things about the town. What we didn't know was that our bed & breakfast was literally right next door from the best antique place in town. Actually, it was the only place I bought anything. Got some great finds I will have to show later. This place was magic. Enjoy.

Getaway: Arbor House Bed and Breakfast

A couple weekends ago Mike took me on a getaway weekend to relax before school starts getting crazy for him. We went to Granbury, Texas. A small town much like the one we live in, only there was nobody we knew and we spent the weekend just the two of us. It was fabulous.

We left Saturday after we went to my friends Air Show (pictures to come) and spent Saturday and Sunday night there. We went antiquing, ate good food, slept, and just enjoyed a peaceful getaway. We stayed at the Arbor House Bed & Breakfast. It was cute. Some bed & breakfasts I've been to are amazingly decorated, this one was a little more simple but still beautiful. The best part, the food! Look at the pictures below to see the main dish for our breakfasts both mornings. Stuffed french toast and a quiche to die for. We both agree we are going back. Then there was another surprise. The owner of the B&B is vice president of Sony Records or something like that. She discovered artists like Beyonce and Britney Spears. You can see all the records she has on her walls. We were like, "Oh thats cool." Until we walked outside and found the bench from Forest Gump that was given to her and we were like "OH THATS COOL!"

We loved it. More pictures to come.
Enjoy.

Wedding: All in the Details

Weddings are a beautiful thing. Lots of planning goes in to them. Every bit of it is totally worth it though. I had to go to 7 alterations I believe, its hard to remember now but we finally got it right. Three hair trial runs, make up trial run, cake tasting and designing, flower planning, had to get a sparkler permit and lots of sparklers, buying candy for the candy bar (that was fun!), designing the program was one of my favourites (I designed my invites, rsvp cards, programs, and thank you cars. Its a side hobby), and a lot more. I'm sure a lot of it wasn't always noticed but I think it made for a beautiful once in a lifetime day for my husband and I with our family & friends.

Happy Sunday.
Enjoy.

The flowers were better than I could have imagined. I loved my bouquet.

Yes, this is an electrical outlet! I think its amazing. Michael is an electrician so he designed it. Genius huh?!
